I had a freight collection guy contact them and they paid all money to him because they knew they were wrong. I had to pay 5% to him of the collected money but still better then nothing. When he asked them for the paperwork they didn't have an answer and ended up paying what a crook they are.

 

the $25 is for company drivers capt at 500$ for truck or trailor damage if any before you leave the company? what the recruter told me. they do seem nice on the phone. I was thinking hard about going there starting Monday

 

They only seem nice on the phone but from my experience they are crooks. Our first few loads we did were fine but last 2 they were looking for any excuses not to pay us.

 

If a company deserves getting sued, maybe it is a good idea to sue, even you take a loss. That's why these companies do this stuff. They know we won't ever fight them on it. Ought to sue just on principle. At least get these companies to quit seeing it as "free and easy money".

 

We are sorry to hear negative feedback on this site about GIX Logistics. However in this situation there was a big communication error between the carrier/driver and brokerage. GIX gave specific details to carrier to pick up 41k lbs of product from the shipper. The driver got 3100 lbs loaded and signed the bills and left without doing a loaded call or even questioning why they did not load nearly 38,000 lbs of product. GIX Logistics had to pay another truck to do the remainder of the load that the first driver did not get picked up. This was a little issue that turned to a big issue all we needed was a loaded call from the carrier and the problem could have been fixed. As always there are always two sides to every story.

If the driver was given the bills to sign...it was safe to assume the load was fully loaded regardless of the weight.
Yes; he should have made the "loaded call" and you as the broker would have asked for information from the bills (including the weight and/or pieces), and you would have recognized the error and told him to stay put while you figure out what happened.

So....as you can see....there are three sides to every story. Shipper, driver, and you.

I have a pretty good idea of how YOU handled the "pay" end of this transaction. Since the original driver only hauled part of the load, and disrespected YOUR operations agreement....YOU thought he didn't deserve a stinking dime for hauling the 3,100 lbs. that he DID deliver.
Sure he screwed up....but so did everyone else involved. I'm sure the shipper got paid for the product, the receiver paid for the product, they both paid for the shipping of the product, you got paid your fee for dispatching the load, the second driver got paid to haul his portion of the load----and YOU thought you could get away without giving the original driver a darn dime, because he didn't make a phone call.

Fact is, first driver did SOME work on the load, and gets SOMETHING too...can't just sit back and let him rot because everything wasn't handled properly.

 

So? We all make mistakes, stuff happens, that does not mean you can help yourself to his hard earned money.

 

Driver was paid in full for not completing the whole load but he did get part of it delivered, second driver was paid in full as well. Thankfully this is a very rare occurrence at GIX Logistics. Your right mistakes do happen and hopefully we all learn from them.

 

It's possible that the driver's carrier directed their driver to only pick up that amount, I've been in a number of situation with a couple of different companies where the company I drove for gave me totally inaccurate or very little information, and the broker had to straighten the matter out.
