Hello Ethos, new to the forum, only 4 posts, need to have 7 to pm you directly. I am planning to go to Schneider Tank Div. soon. I have so many Q's and would like to hear from you at length regarding the subject. How can we contact each other ? Besides waiting for the 7th post ? Thanks,

Why not just start a thread with your questions so other forum members can benefit from the discussion? That's what a forum is for after all.

Pretty much the best way. I'm not the only bulk driver on here so you will get better info from an open discussion.

Ok, fair enough. Here's my story. I've had my CDL for 8 yrs. All endorsements, TSA cleared, no TWIC yet. Clean MVR, no Criminal. Been driving a Propane bobtail for the last 8 yrs. , same company, 200k + safe local miles. Mostly rural, commercial, residential, mountain locations Northern Calif. Coast. Traded OTR for home daily, after graduating truck school. So no verifiable recent T/T exp. I will be moving to Indy area in about 18 mos. I plan on attending Sage in Muncie for a refresher. I'm looking hard at Schneider because they will take recent grads and I want to utilize my HazMat and make better money. Every tank company I've researched wants at least 1 yr. exp. When I complete the refresher course, I want to go right to work and have a steady paycheck right out of the gate. I'm not one to job hop, looking for long term, steady employment with a good company. I'm willing to earn my stripes, but won't be treated as a schmuck like some companies do their newbies !
I welcome all advice and comments from those who know the job. In my perfect world...... I would be home daily and make 60k annually, with good benes and good equipment.
Thank you. -
Sounds like a solid plan. After a year you could be making 60k here but you won't be home daily. I have never been mistreated here and I have always made good money. It is a great place to get experience. Once you get through the grind of orientation and training it will be a good steady paycheck and few problems. Ask all of your questions and I will answer them. There are a few more Orange bulk drivers on here. Best way to get their attention is to start a new thread.
