My experience with A & R Transport...Joliet,IL

Drifter where you working at now? I live in Sharon and know a bunch of the guys from up your way.

 

I pull a pneumatic tanker at a company not far from you.

 

Drifter just wondering if u ever had any luck with the a and r process. I turned my app in on wendsday of last week still haven't heard anything yet?

 

I did the same. Turned it in Wed and the lady there told me give them a couple of days. I will probably call them tomorrow

 

R u running for Simms now drifter? Heard that wasn't to bad of a gig? I'm running for save a lot right now

 

Yeah been there pretty much for almost 7 years minus about 4 months trying something else. It's ok, but nowhere near as good as when I first started working there.

 

lady @ recruiting told me today that as a local driver I could do,in a regular working day - 2 loads @ $ 95 a load , sometimes 3 , if all went perfect( seldom )...around $180/190 a day ....not bad , depending on how many hrs that might take, and how physical it gets..Right now, my nights are, 13 / 14 hr long, hauling for ford @ $ 170 / day ...might be worth the switch...any comments?

 

When I was there outta Columbus, you could make low $100's to $200 maybe $250 if your lucky on some days.. to get that makes a long day!

 

Kevin called me today and wants me to come and interview in Jackson Tn. I can do regional or system, but I really don't care too much about going to Canada. I guess whatever pays best.

 

Money is in system really, possible regional. Is that a new terminal down that way? You won't go if u don't have ya passport... I never went and usually there are guys that will take those canadas no problem. .
