I am not sure I follow. Are you suggesting I drive all the way out there on the odd chance I might get a job? Do you have an empty tuck and need a driver? That is a 250 mile five hour round trip from here. In a 96 Jeep Grand Cherokee LTD with a 5.2 liter V8 with all time 4WD (either 4 high or 4 low - no 2WD), so I get a maximum of 15 MPG on the highway, and that is only if there is no traffic on the highway, no cars to pass, and no red lights. Under best case scenario, that is about 18 gallons of gasoline. At 3.29 a gallon, that is $60 for a trip to a city I have never been to, on the hopes that I will find a car-hauling job there? Even if I got a job here, that is a 2.5 hour drive to work. I am not sure that would work unless the owner had cars being picked up in the Atlanta or North GA area on a regular basis, and lets me take the truck home. I do have two shopping centers within three miles of my house where I could park a truck. I have permission from the owner at one parking lt (from a former job), and the other is a Wal-Mart that gets used by a few trucks on a fairly regular basis. Are you offering me a job?

hey did you get a car hauling job over at albertville,al. leafs are changing ride out tell her going leaf watching and CK out car hauling driving jobs.
Who is her? Is SHE giving me the job? What is the name of the company or their number? All I want is a decent paying car-hauling job where I can see my family at least 4 days a month, minimum. I would prefer 8 or more days. I am not asking for much. I know 7 car EZ loader, and am more than willing to learn 10 car hauling if someone will train me. I don't damage cars, and I have an excellent driving record: perfectly clean 7 year MVR: no points, tickets, or accidents. Clean 2 year DOT medical card. All I need is a chance. Trust me when I say I burned off 95% of my rust on my last hiring/firing in the yard. I know what I did wrong and won't do it again. If only that guy had been more patient. I was hired and fired in a period of 15 minutes. It really depresses me every time I think about it. I am not the world's best driver, but I am a more than capable car-hauler. Another thing: my former boss and my almost boss said hat my former boss gave me an excellent recommendation. That is probably true, but what if he said I worshiped the devil and was a serial killer that never got caught and destroyed every car I ever hauled. Perhaps he said don't hire this guy under any circumstances. Maybe this was just a big joke to get my hopes up. I know this makes me sound crazy. Maybe I am. I have never gotten a job and lost it in 15 minutes. Only the loss of my Granddaddy last year caused me more pain and sadness than this did. I am just being honest. It will take me a while to get over.Last edited: Oct 23, 2013

No I haven't found a car-hauling job, and I am desperately looking for one. There is an ad on Craigslist for a car-hauler that says they run all 48 states. I bet that means I get by the house for 34 hours every 3 months or so. I wrote him, but haven't heard back. I do have three young young kids that I love and want to watch grow up. I also have a wife that I love and want to spend time with. We will celebrate our 10 year anniversary in 3 days. I wish I had the money to buy her something nice like some jewelry, but we don't have much money, and I don't know how to ask her to give me her money to buy her a present without giving it away.
