most FAT truck drivers as landstar would say can't pass a DOT physical and that is the goverments fault?
blood clots are a real problem in the industry
not to be taken lightly
blood pressure , sleep apnea and diabetes are not made up by the lunactic fringe left leaning populace
Miss jhawk
If SSI is in your future I might suggest a good lawyer versed in disability
they charge nothing up front and 25% of your claim once it is approved
just on the back balance
after getting repeatedly denied for my son with MS
a lawyer navigated the system and a year later was approved
$18000 from the government $4500 of that to the lawyer
sounds like a lot until you realize you still have $13500 and you were not denied again with nothing
Good Luck
am shut down by DOT for 3 months again

Brian Vickers dropped out of the end of the 2013 NASCAR season due to a blood clot in the calf of his right leg. He missed most of the 2010 NASCAR season with blood clots in his legs and around his lungs.

Instead of arguing, heed this as a warning. This could happen to you. You've got one body. Take care of it. Your career isn't the only thing you'll lose.

Over the road and local city transit bus drivers also must be on the look out for blood clots in their legs and lower extremities.
Also, more than likely, all this occurs with heavy equipment operators too: backhoes, bulldozers, cranes, excavators, along with other types of heavy construction equipment.

It would NOT surprise me if military health and fitness standards becomes the norm in the transportation industry: truck drivers, bus drivers, taxicab drivers, limousine drivers, and heavy construction equipment operators.

Missing most of the end of the 2013 NASCAR season may have saved Brian Vickers's life.

Thats just not right. goes against all my morals. -
That is the ''rest of the story''..Again the reading is on the wall and drivers seem to want to ''deny'' it...I will put all my money on it that your statement is going to work its way through and become the norm...
