I have extremely bad feet (collapsed arches).
Its sad how bad Red Wing boots have become. I'm searching for some other brand to try but haven't made up my mind on which way to go.
I have custom full length orthotics and replace my boots every 6 months.

You're a flat decker and don't wear steel toes?

I see Blunderstone has lots of styles. I'm going to check them out. -
The toe may be Kevlar now. I know the shank is. CSA/ OSHA approved.
Made in Vietnam now, not China. My first pair were made in Australia. -
Red wings are still USA made if you buy the right ones. They do have a line that's Chinese made but I don't like those.

I've used the same model number Red Wing for years. They keep taking features away and making them cheaper.
NavigatorWife and RedForeman Thank this. -
Find and size what you want and check ebay. I saved about $30 or $40 on my redwings that way(even after shipping). Mine have a "composite toe" so my toes do not become ice cubes.

Red Wing pulled at least their motorcycle boot production out of China, and back to the great USA. I really like my motorcycle boots. Tough as nails.....My son has a pair of their older American RW mc boots, and the new ones seem just as well made...
Freightlinerbob Thanks this.
