I have officially lost my patience with Sunburst Logistics. I am a very small operation. I hauled a load for this broker and everything went without a hitch. His bond was not updated and It appears as though they have folded up. I cannot afford to be screwed out of money for no reason. A search of this broker has found some negative comments about pay. If anyone has any info on this broker/owner please pm me

I have only been running trucks for three years, but I always do a credit check on any new client. I have only had one broker default on paying. As soon as I got that feeling in my gut that something wasn't adding up I filed on their bond. You want to be one of the first in line before the bond is used up, or you will be out of luck. Even if the bond company comes back and says that they have spoken with the broker and that the broker has intentions of paying STILL FILE THE BOND. You have to follow that procedure, or you will not get paid period. I was the 2nd guy that filed, so I got paid. About 60 days later I got a letter from an attorney saying he was representing all of the people that didn't get paid off of the bond because it was used up. Most of these brokers are non asset based, so what are you going to sue them for. I know it's for $1600, but it could be for a lot more. Try and file on the bond first thing tomorrow morning if you can and if it is not to late. I feel for you. Good luck.
