I have two pairs of Wescos, my Highliners are 15 years old with one rebuild and they've been worn a lot.
My Motorpatrol (M/C cop boots) are about 5 years old and barely broke in.

I prefer Danner Acadias. They make them Insulated, Non Insulated, and Steel Toe.

Yep, they proudly carry a Made In The USA label. -
I bought a new set of Carhartt steel toes two months ago. Made in China. I will go back to Red Wings as I have worn them for for the last eight years.....until I decided to try Carhartts.
Good luck in your research & decision. -

I don't know about the non steel toes but as far as the thin selection of American made boots go I found the Red Wing model 2412 are still made here and don't think I will ever buy anything else. I always hated steel toed boots until I tried these and fell in love. They hold up great and almost feel like lightweight sneakers and you don't even know there steel toe. 400 grams of thinsulate, warm in the winter (upstate NY) and comfy in the summer, great all around boot.
