Apparently, if your in Alberta, or maybe the greater western Canada region look forward to having a fuel cap of 300 liters/day imposed on your fuel cards and/or rampant diesel fuel shortages. Expected to last all winter.
Theories? Rants? Tricks? Stories? Anything related to the fuel shortage, feel free to post here.

I haven't heard anything about it but that is only something I will believe when I get a call from the fuel company. 300L is too little for me, if it was 400 I would be able to live with it but for a lot of guys that might get them 600km in a day some even less.

300 l per day? What am I going to do after lunch?
-
Well I've got 5 fuel cards...6 if I can fit in a fas gas lol
-
nate980 Thanks this.

We got notice from petro can a few weeks ago of outages etc in Alberta and Sask. No limits though as of then.
UFA was fine though.
I know I've met a lot of fuel haulers I've never seen before heading towards Saskatoon or Regina.
What a pain, fuelling at 2 locations every day or being creative lol -
Some people are getting cut down to 300 L effective soon. So don't be surprised if it happens in your knick of the woods in the coming weeks. And like its been said already, everyone has a bunch of cards. You may have to stop for fuel 3 times in one day, if some stations run dry periodically. Also depends on which stations are on your route. UFA is the most expensive for me so an increase in costs. Going to be an interesting winter.

I've had no problem getting fuel. North battleford and Saskatoon petro pass always have fuel and that's enough to get to southern saskatchewan and back or to Brandon, mb. Don't know if its about the fuel shortage or drivers not planning there fuel stops properly.

Petro canada station in Kindersley is now on a daily limit of 250 litres. The signs up today

I received an email from Federated Co Op restricting fuel use to 300 liters a day.
"Due to a temporary reduction in diesel supply across Western
Canada, a daily maximum of 300 litres per card has been put
in place. This is a cumulative daily limit by card which
allows pick-ups from various CO-OP cardlocks up to 300 litres
in total.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
If you have any further questions please contact your sales
representative."
If you log into your Petro Canada account, it directs you to a page of restrictions and complete closures.
