I should not even say this but im not a fan of pdi tunes any more was great at the start but more I learn about what they can do and what was done to mine I was very lucky , I don't know much about dynos but im sure that they can load a engine down pretty good and I was told by a pdi tuner that he did 6 trucks on a Saturday for a group of us and I quote ( if anyone has a liner protrusion issue I will show up now ) im not saying its not a blast to drive a tuned engine but it produces a lot of cylinder pressure that it did stock thus if liner height is off some it will make the gasket blow! Also it creates more heat and that's no good either I had a pdi tune for 5 yrs and until the last go and almost cost me a whole new engine I went with a different tuner for detroits and no more heat runs smoother and no black smoke good mileage and runs just about as good ! I was lucky mine didn't score a piston as it was getting a lot of heat from the fuel being turned up so much I hope you get it fixed rite and don't cost a arm and a leg but in that deep I don't see that option , what I learned and spent in last couple yrs in repairs is why im writing this its if it is yours and depend on it for a paycheck when its down you spend all you have saved and no pay when it is in the shop . oh and while I should add that all 6 trucks that was tuned had head gasket issues some real quick others not and some had problems more that one or three times ,just something to think about.Sumothertrucker and puncher Thank this.

Yea, I here what your saying. But knowing a lot of this, I've never really pushed this motor for that reason. I got the tune for the fuel mileage, not to be the first one to the top. I never (almost never) push it over 30lbs of boost because that's what the motor was designed to run and it takes a pretty hot day for the pyro to break 900. It's like carrying a gun, just you got it don't mean you have to use it. I appreciate every ones input but what I was looking for out this thread was some one to say, "Yes, if you told them what the motor had done to it (which I did) then they carelessy abused it on the dyno and that amount of damage is excessive and they should pay for you're down time". Just trying to make sure I'm thinking correctly since the motor was running fine when I dropped it off.
