I have had to sign a confidentiality statement for every oilfield job I've ever had-social media was seldom mentioned specifically, but I guess times are changing.

 

You could always create a new logon and not mention any company information going forward...

 

We are going way off topic here, but that really wouldn't be the case. You can have two seperated users in the same household. There are husband and wife teams here where both post independently. There really is no way of knowing who's who. You could get finicky with IP addresses but seriously, why would you.

 

That is so funny because they don't have anything that another company would want to copy and I never worked for them directly so they can't do anything to me. Their plants are dirty and have lots of tanks and pipes. What else do you want to know? OH! People, not Monkeys manage it from some office in Tulsa I hear.

 

You easily can tell legit separate accounts as with husband/wife or team drivers. As with any message board spam control is a major job. That and keeping toxic banned members from returning. Members don't see a lot of the bad because the mod team cleans it up quickly. An IP addy is just a useful tool. We don't need members planting additional accounts for future use or my favorite is the bs person supporting himself in a thread with two accounts. It happens all the time. Start a message board and you'll find out.

Members can PM an admin if they want a name change or something similar. There's no need in getting sneaky and making our job harder.
