I'm sitting in Apple Valley. I love CA. Luckily, I get my load back to Buckeye tomorrow. I will get a shower here, however.

Well they are definitely running me hard here. No days this week under 500 miles with a few over 600 to throw in. I like how I can somewhat control how hard I want to work. We are having a meatloaf dinner for 5 million safe miles next week. Looking forward to that! Today is oh home day, but I am thinking about extending one more day. I have a few days off the first week of November and I don't want to have it impact the paycheck too much. Starting to get into a groove and find my rhythm and routine. This is a great place to work. They keep you as busy as you want to be and they really have the workplace psychology down. Everyone is respected and expected to treat the others the same way. Such a breath of fresh air from my last job where people were complaining non stop and lots if in fighting and backstabbing. I'm know there is some of that going on here, but not to the scale of the job I came from. Take care and be safe everyone!

Even when I was on the 5/2 they gave me a truck that I could keep all week. I never had to switch once. And one of the new guys just hired last month just got an assigned truck. I guess they have more tractors at Toby? It's amazing how there's so much difference between DC's. Well at least you guys don't have to deal with a lot of snow.

 

5 guys retiring by the end of this year and I am the #2 extra so some things should be opening up soon, hopefully. We have a new GTM coming in and it is his call on any position filling. 10 more guys being hired after the group of 7 I was in. Looks good for me to get into some sort of program/assigned tractor. Just have to be patient. Jim, plenty of snow where I run, saw some earlier this week. It's those Texas boys that have it made!!!! ;D

I have another question, who or how do you know when you and what time your too report back to work after your time off? Thanks
