I found out yesterday the place im dropping trailers at closed their gates at 5pm and closed sundays so went back home to get a 34 in, was a good thing I didnt try to do a trailer friday night since I would of got there and been screwed especially since the street dead ends with no possible way of getting turned around and would of been my first time needing police to help me back out into a very busy street.

My wife loves me home lately since I have been cooking every night that im home, last night did some grilling, tonight I made sushi which I have not done since I worked as a chef. Last week I took her to a sushi place here and it cost me $45, make it myself and I can do like 3 times the sushi for under $10 cost.

At the Fontana terminal. When I arrived @ 5:30 pm the "lot full" sign was out. I went inside anyway and backed into a spot that aother driver had just passed because it was a blind side. I did a quick 180 and made it an easy 90 degree sight site.

Can anyone explain why they paid me LOADED MILES to reposition my truck & trailer here from Colo Springs? Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the miles AND the fact I got 9.6 MPG getting here. Already have a load for tomorrow.

Hammond, LA. The cummins dealer again. getting real tired of this. They are thinking that the EGR cooler is messing with the DEF. Had a long talk this afternoon with both Rapid Response and Breakdown. I am supposed to be getting a phone call from what they call one of the back office boys. This problem has been going on tooooooooo long. Already arranging a load from home to PHX, and I have already told them that this truck is going into the shop and gone over with a fine tooth comb, at their expense.

With you losing coolant, the core problem may very well be the EGR cooler leaking ... problems with the DEF/DPF are just the inevitable side effects of an EGR cooler leak.

The coolant dumps into the turbo, goes through the engine, through the exhaust and gums up the DPF/DEF system clogging all the filters and gumming up the sensors.

    Tapeworm Thanks this.

That is what they are thinking. After he talked to me, the 1st question he asked, have I been loosing coolant lately. No one else has asked that question. He then asked if possible, keep my truck off all night so that they can take off the rear of some thing and see if coolant is in there. He said the same as you, egr will mess with everything.

Burnsville, MN on my last night of home time.

The truck was in the shop, now fixed I hope. I was told so, and I have new set of steers and a couple other things fixed.
Hopefully I get back a truck that doesn't shake me apart at highway speeds.

    No pplan yet.

Got my new computer, which I had to reinstall once already.
I made the mistake of trying to upgrade to Windows 8.1, and it messed everything up.
I couldn't even open a browser window the next morning.

I also transferred my CDL to MN this afternoon. A painless process since they only require the standard knowledge test.
I dropped my hazmat this time around, as it seems too much cost and pain in the butt for any real gain.
They only wanted to copy my medical card, not the long form, along with my CA license and birth certificate (or other secondary ID).
The whole process took less than an hour, on a Monday around noon.

thats a nice dmv trip, I always spend a ton of time when I go.

Took 2 trailers today to Sylmar, I had a couple lease contracts to turn in still and my DM said to bring them anytime this week so I decided after my 2nd trailer to drive to Fontana and boy was that a mistake, took over 2 hours to get there in the traffic even at 3pm. Went and saw my normal DM just to say hi and check in, was surprised he greeted me by name since I didnt think he would remember the face. He told me the DM im working for talks to him about me and says im a hard worker and he appreciates everything I have been doing and that he likes me, I said thats a mutual feeling since he is a great DM. He said possibly he might need me permanently once this is all done which would be awesome if he did.

He decided to pull me up on the computer to see if there are any issues since he doesnt speak to me much these days, of course he found nothing in the system and said im doing a great job staying under the radar which I try to do the best I can. I got him to open up fuel so i could top my tanks off and not have to get fuel for a couple days, I think next time I see a fuel stop for Hesperia im taking it and ignoring the fuel stops for Mira Loma, taking the 14 over to the 5 then 210 is much much faster.

I asked the DM how many trailers the other couple drivers are doing and he said they are just doing 2 a day then staying the night in Mira Loma or Hesperia, im thinking what lazy drivers since each trailer only takes 3 hours round trip not counting the drop and hook, can get 3 easy if you start early enough and try.

Stopped at the Pilot in Hesperia for the night and im glad I grabbed a thick comforter this morning when I left home since the cold finally has hit
