How many times a driver must GOAL is not an exact science. Sometimes I GOAL several times. I just did a blind back this weekend in which I decided to GOAL at least three times to make sure I wasn't going to hit something, but if I had hit something, then the fourth one would have been the magic one that I would have missed. -

I had an instructor show me twice on a couple of the maneuvers and then we traded places. If they run you through the close quarters training I would imagine that it's because they want to keep you as a driver.
I was told once by someone in operations or HR, can't remember which, that most drivers who leave the industry do it by the 6th month. The indication being that once you're past that point you're more likely to stay in the industry and therefore worth more to try to keep.
From what I've been told, Roehl has moved away from termination for every fault to a retraining type program. Obviously, accidents with other vehicles and injuries/deaths are still going to be handled differently than scratching the fiberglass. Please keep us posted, as I'm holding out hope for a positive close quarters experience.Dark Squall Thanks this. -
