DO NOT apply for a position with Waltz Drive Away in Evansville, IN. They have falsified several drivers DAC reports with accidents that were marked non preventable and were marked as preventable. Stating they never got a copy of the police report. Such as in my case I got the copy of the police report and was told by the state police that in order to obtain one the company needed to contact them to get one!!! They take money out of your weekly paycheck up to $300 a week and cannot justify as to where the money went or show proof! They send your 600 miles on a "hot" load that needed to be there yesterday and expect you to get it there with the assurance that you have a back haul out of the area ready and waiting when in fact you get the load there and you sit for 3 days waiting on a load for the back haul! Midnight Dispatch is worthless as they have no loads going anywhere and their famous answer is call in the morning. The safety director talks out of both sides of his mouth and never remembers what he says only says crap to make himself look good. THIS COMPANY IS WORTHLESS!![]()

How can you work for a company and not even get the name right ?
It's Walt's not Waltz .

I knew I didn't wanna work there when Don Meisler (one of the two brother's that own Walt's) told me that grossing $750/wk and being home on weekends was "good money". I applied there, went thru orientation, and was assigned a truck but never hauled a single load for them.

Guess you never made a clerical error huh? I hear ya scarecrow these people are nothing but JOKES! Currently working through an attorney to take legal action against these morons! at WALT'S there is that better now?????? Have a great day!

I worked for Walt's not Waltz ( know who you work for ) for about 8 years and they were a very good company to work for. That is if you want to work and not always be involved in accidents. You say you rear ended someone. Sounds like you said it all when you said "all rear end accidents are preventable". You said you made 60,000 grand the first year and 40,000 grand less the next. Sounds to me like you should have got off your dead ### and ran. Like I said, I can vouch for Walt's as a very good company to work for.

How about when you quit or get fired, did you know they have to reimburse you that insurance money? Why no, because Shelly will not tell you or offer it to you. Yea they tried to rip me off. And yes when Donnie told me that $700 was good money, I laughed me butt off at him, his german/jew really showed their. LOL

OOPs Walt's sorry for the chain alpha LOL

PS; pardon the 4 year later response, ... just now saw your msg, ... and you got my attention. -
RSS you are wrong... You are allowed your money back if you claim that money before the due date.
Also with any insurance company. If you pay your car insurance say 6 months at a time then cancel after 3 months. Then you are due the 3 months left. Minus any cancellation fees et cetera.
Reason I know this is I did work for WDA. And was told to ask for my insurance money back I was due. I received all of the previous money(it was 2 or 3 weeks I got back) back up to the due date. It was something like must be requested by the 15th of the current month at this company about 2 or 3 years ago. -
I have been with Walts who is based out of Evansville, IN. off and on sense 1991 this Company in not much different than other trucking Co. The longer you work here the better it gets for you as a driver. Other Co. are the same way, you have to prove yourself. I am a Intermodel driver that is home every night and off most weekends.
For the past 3 years I have grossed over $38,000 a year so you can make a little money here and enjoy your time off. I have received every safety bonus but two and that was my fault due to speeding tickets. I enjoy working here and hope to be here till I retire.
This fool who filed this report is pissed off because he had an accident and Walts reported it on His DAC plain and simple. Just another Cry baby truck driver!
