Where do you get the figure of .90 cpm. The last load I hauled paid $1.92 per mile to the truck. That was Tar Heel, NC to Winter Haven FL

You are being paid 70% of the load. From following this thread I see where Sunco wants drivers to switch to mileage pay. You get 70% which is what I got when I pulled for them. You pay for reefer fuel and first 100 miles of deadhead. Unless I read it wrong Sunco wants to pay reefer fuel and .90 a mile loaded and empty and I guess a FSC. I don't think the mileage program will work.

I am happy with what I am making with Sunco. It may not be the best paying job, but they are a good company to work for. My concerns are paying for my wifes cancer treatments, and keeping her around. I am not young anymore , and my abilities are limited. I know of job,s that pay $2.75 to $3.00 to the truck, but that means chaining and tarping, and I am just not into that. The one fellow keeps asking how many miles we get, my answer to him, in my situation, Enough

Thanks for keeping this thread going and giving us information on working with Sunco/Watkins.

I filled out my application today and spoke with Tom in Lakeland. He did say they are using Arrow for their LP program. (I'm not sure if they are using other providers or not.)

Just waiting to hear back on the application and go from there. I'll keep you all updated on my progress and I'll probably start a blog once I get started with them. I am on a waiting list with another company but they are still waiting on trucks to come in so I wanted to get another option. I remembered Sunco since I used to work for Prime and remembered them hauling Tropicana out of Bradenton.
