Yeah. Combo, gen knowledge, air, tank, hazmat, class C (made me do it)... there was another one... forgetting what it was... took my time. Didn't rush thru them. Made sure I had eaten a small snack beforehand and I did fine. Missed one question on each of them lol. Go early enough so you can finish them... or if you really want to split it up you can. But seriously is an awesome feeling if you can get them all done in one day. If you don't pass the test or a test the first time. Dont sweat it. You've got 2the more tries on each test before you have to pay to do them again. The students I helped almost always got it on first try. A few got it on second try. Good luck!!!

When I got my B I took the general, air brake and basic Class C on the same day.

Caynnor,
I'm also from Southern California like yourself. If I may ask, what type of work do you do? I was thinking of taking the Class B, but decided on Class A for more job flexibility. -
I have the Matt Mosher's CDL book and it says, the air brake test is only 25 questions. So I guess it is not too long, do they give you a time limit for the exams?

We all b southern Californians. Go for the A. Then you can choose anything.
joetruck99 Thanks this. -
Time limit is till the DMV closes for the day.

Choose the non-excepted Interstate. It's silly not to because the requirements (testing) is ALL the same whether you choose one or the other.

Quite confusing to have four sub-categories like that. I appreciate all the responses.

Caynnor,
How long have you been driving for that steel company? Does the wage top off that quick?
