Hate to jump the gun, but I live in NC, and presume I will be out of the Eden terminal once I complete training and orientation. How is the freight out of my area and along the East Coast? I do understand that Swift is a full 48 otr company but hometown even if just passing through is important. I can't be too picky about pay at this early stage but hoping that I can at least make a decent living and not be too far at least all the time.

freight is best on the east coast actually, a lot of times once you go east they keep you there for awhile, im running the western regional so I dont have to get stuck on the east coast.

No extra pay for NY, you make a couple cents more per mile I was told driving east coast but that is about it.

depends where your at and the time of the year, during slow seasons the freight isnt quite as good in western, there were some weeks I was getting 2k miles, others 3k it just depends. Eastern has a lot more freight so some prefer to stay over there for that reason. Right now freight is picking up all over though.
