If the company tells me I need a sleep apnea test will that disqualify me from any training until I complete the test?..... This is fine by me, as I don't want to be allowed to continue with any training and then be on the hook for the training costs and then be told I have to take the $2k sleep test. Like you said, now I am into them for $4k (training) + $2k (sleep test) and no job guarantee. That bites!!

Truck School is out of your own pocket.

After you graduate truck school, you find a company that will train you for 6 more weeks before you can go solo.

If the company doctor decides you need the test, you'll probably be in the hotel a little while longer until the sleep test is done. After passing the sleep test, then they would assign you a trainer.

Truck school you pay for out of pocket.

Companies generally pay you during your training about $350/week, so your only expense would be the truck school (and sleep apnea test) before you get hired by the company. Your actually getting paid, and making a paycheck, while training with a company.

    You pay school for training.

    Company pays you training.

    Hope makes sense.
