    Hello all.

I have pretty much picked W/S as where I want to start my life on the road, I would like to know whats in their physical. Is it harder then some of the other companies? Would it be a good idea to join a gym for a couple of months before hand & is there any really important info that a newbie should know before joining?

    Thanks.

At your age, you are fine.

Unless you are female. And I only say that because females on average have less upper body strength. If you can bench 50 lbs. You'll have no problems at all. Male or female.

The dead weight in a box is kind of difficult, if you have short arms, due to it's bulk, not the actual weight. The box is about the size of a milk crate.

On a scale of 1-10. I rate their physical about a 4. I've seen harder ones. But make no mistake, it will get your heart rate up.

All man here, but I have been told more then once that I have the arms of a 12 year old school girl... Maybe I should do a few weeks in the gym just to make sure.

Brickman, I agree with Danc694u, it's fairly straight forward. I had to lift 70Lbs from floor to waste high shelf (3 times), 40lbs from floor to shoulder high shelf (3 times) and then carry 60lbs 25ft and back. All that and a series of stooping, bending, and squatting exercises and your good. As long as you have no serious flexibility problems you'll be fine. Good luck. Hope to see you on the road.

Thats the problem with being 6'5, I can't bend over & touch my toes to save my life. Growing 2 inches in a little over 2 months really doesn't help your flexibility. I don't have any back pain or anything I just can't touch my toes, my hands go just past my knees last time I tried.

Don't worry about it, you certainly don't need weeks in a gym before doing it. it's really not that hard and it's not like you go from one hard expercise to another without a break of a couple minutes.

The physical was the easiest part for me to pass after I got thru the Blood Pressure and Blood Sugar test. I was worried about the physical especially because I had to drive 100 plus miles to get their and they had 3 emergencys come in so we sat for over 3 hours before I could even start. But the physical was the last deal and it took all of 10 minutes.
At age 65 I made it.
