...and don't forget...now that you are going to be a business owner/operator, you can be as nice and cooperative as you want to be, but every now and then you'll have to stand your ground and not let a company bulldog you like you're still a company driver. It's your business, and if you don't take care of it, it won't last long. So take the loads they offer you as long as you can do them, but don't let them force you into anything outside of your comfort zone (impossible, illegal, etc.). Do what is best for your customer(the company) as long as it is also in your best interests. I hope I made sense? I'm tired, and going to bed. Goodnight y'all.

Any quick notes/thoughts about equipment selection at orientation...? I'm assuming the senior guys are transitioning into the Evoloutions.... and their turned in equipment is what the new guys will pick from.... ??? Is there any "process" at orientation to improving one's "pick"...??? Thank you.
luvtotruck Thanks this. -

I'm new and received an evolution it's first come first serve. So I was I'm Casa Grande earlier today talking to a fellow JCT driver who has been here since September. Says he's only been getting 1400 miles a week hasn't had a paycheck in a month and is quitting. I find that hard to believe I've been running 13k miles a month plus and he said he's cleaning out his truck in Phoenix tomorrow. I really do not see how you can fail here. I'm running 68mph all the time except in cali and Oregon and I'm still bringing home 4 figure paychecks and now that I got my scan gauge still run 68 but ease off my throttle when climbing and keep turbo below 20psi and my last tank was 7.6 with a rail trailer. I don't know how you can fail. I fuel for profit and not a paycheck and my numbers are still good.
Soule_Man and The Challenger Thank this. -
With the way it sounds from all the other posters, JCT will keep you moving. Over the past five years I have seen JCT do a complete 180. It seems like they are focusing on Freightliner Cascadias Evo's rather than three truck models and are trying to help the driver. I have heard no one mention what kind of services (ie do they help with your taxes, do they send you multi load offers etc...) they offer to l/o's.
