you were to sign the report before you drove off?
-
Received one from Missouri in 2005 and no paperwork received or signed.

Stupid question, what's a level three inspection?
-
Driver inspection. Paperwork and the like.
My opinion is; if they are going to take time out of my day to inspect me, they are going to give me my paperwork.L84AD8 Thanks this. -
Had one last month in MN, 5k over weight on the drives. First one she did all summer (she doesn't like the heat). Moved the load around ended up with a fine for 1k over and a lesson on log book documentation. I mainly run under 100 miles a trip so I just have a book of pretrips and couple of 200 milers. Next time she said to total my hours when it is needed.

It is getting more and more common for inspectors to complete an inspection, find no infractions/violations and release the truck with no paperwork.
2 things happen as a result:
1. The carrier and driver don't get the benefit of a clean inspection to improve their overall CSA record.
2. The inspector gets a higher percentage of finding infractions/violations so it looks like he is doing his job( and his supervisor).
The process is corrupt and it stinks.Taildragon and DoneYourWay Thank this. -
1. does a clean inspection improve their csa record ?
-
I wonder if you can send in a Data-Q for an inspection that was performed but not captured in the system. That does seriously skew the data if the inspectors leave clean inspections out of the record.
