ive never once smelled the bunk heater to the point that it was a concern.

if you smell exhaust while moving then you have a leak!

report it at once and get routed to a terminal, CO isn't called the silent killer for no reason man.

 

On a separate note, I decided last minute to go to the Wild game. They won, 4-0 over New Jersey. Nice to be out and see a pro sports game

 

From what I have found, diesel exhaust is pretty low in CO compared to other combustibles.

 

After spending most of the night with the heater off I was suddenly awakened for no apparent reason. I flipped up the light switch and nothing. Looked up front and everything was off. Auto idle was flashing and clicking but not starting. Suddenly I was fearful of dead batteries.

So I jumped in the seat and cranked it up, no problem. So I figured I would let it idle for a while and warm up. However, there is no high idle setting. I tried everything I could think of. So I decided to just let it idle on normal. I wasn't in the bunk for more than a minute and it shut down. With only an hour left to sleep I didn't bother any more.

Has anyone else experienced anything like this?

 

MY KW will start beeping if batteries are low. I crank it up and throttle it up to 800 rpm or so for a while to let the batteries charge. I don't have the auto start, so can't comment on that.

 

Shaker opti idle sucks. I can't figure it out. Sometimes it works sometimes not. Prostar is much easier system. Turn off truck, push a button, done.

 

option idle works perfect Here. it is a complicated process however..two steps..neutral and high range, turn on cruise..no touch after that. lite will indicate it is activated.

in Wausau. had to back in at allied insul action if u have ever been there..loads of fun. good place for a fail if yur not careful. this place needs more room.

 

Not that simple. Yeah it shows it's on. But it doesn't come on. Just starts shutting down lights and crap. Not good for someone that needs that bs cpap. I've had nights when idle kicks on. I've also had nights that it beeps and shuts crap off.

 

Be sure you left the gearshift in neutral when you engaged the auto-start. If it's in gear, auto-start will (correctly) refuse to start the engine. Happened to me once.
