I was pulled over by one of Indiana's Finest today. For vaping. Apparently someone called highway patrol and said I was doing bong hits while driving. Officer asked if I knew why I was being pulled over and I honestly said I didnt cause I knew what the spped limit was and I wasnt speeding. He said he was pacing me doing 67mph and I said that wasnt possible because my cruise was set, I wasnt on the pedal, it was flat land.... and my truck is governed at 65! He asked if I had just sprayed something and I said no, he was smelling my e-cig, which was vanilla custard flavor at that time and I showed it t him. He went on to explain about the called in complaint and I busted out laughing. Thoroughly showed and explained what I had and even blew a cloud so he could see for himself what people had seen. They guy was really nice and said he wasnt even going to waste paper on a warnng and to have a good day. I certainly got a laugh out of it. Pretty sure it was another truck driver who narkedon me though. I passed a guy and a few minutes later he passed me and then brake checked me. So I passed him agan and kept on going til the county mountie caught up. I did notice that said suspected caller bailed off on an exit before I got pulled over though.

((OMG the irony that this is post 420 for me!!!!!))

honeybadger you crack me up thanks for the laugh. LOL

Took my own way down to Fl. but I think it will end up being 35 miles longer but faster than taking that us 287 in Tx for a million miles(LOL) of course I am stretching that miles part on 287. I went east on 40 to Memphis then 78 east to Birmingham to Atlanta then south hope its faster less lights but I havent been on 287 in over 4 years and last time on it it had a bunch of towns and lights. Either way should have no problem making on time delivery.

Be safe everyone and I should find out about the coaching this week only big mess up is I went over the 8 hrs by 23 minutes so I hope that doesnt hurt but who knows

287 isnt bad. You will spend less time n towns on 287 than being slowed down on the Atlanta loop. I wouldve run 287 to I-20 to US49 to old 98 to I-10. Then stopped by the house, did my thing, then run 10 to 75 for delivery.

My onboard system is down and I talked to someone earlier in the day we rebooted it and it still wont work and she contacted the comp people who rebooted it remotely but I fell asleep and now I can't get a hold of no one. Is there a specific # to night dispatch? I need to get a hold of someone so I can run tomorrow. I think I might have to run paperlogs but not sure and would not want to do that unless they gave me permission.

@honeybadger you just have to hit Atlanta at the right times cause I too hate driving that loop but when I hit it today was able to do 65 around it but you are right they are terrible drivers there

Hold down the 4 button until it powers down, and then wait for a few minutes, and push the 4 button again and restart the silly thing. If it still don't work do it again and leave it off a little longer.

    but to your paperlog question
    yes is the answer

how can you be doing 65 on the loop around Atlanta when the speed limit on it is only 55?

If you are going to run, you need to start a paper log, you don't need permission to do it. I had to do it earlier this year, my sat box was down for about 3 days earlier this year, same routine of remote reboot, etc. nothing worked then out of the blue it popped on. I was happy to run paper logs (extra hours) but too much of a pain not to be in contact with dispatch. They don't like it, but I call road assist and have them transfer me to dispatch, that is the only number I can get to work at TransAm.

I had it happen again about a month ago but I did not mess around with it. I undid the screws in the dash, disconnected the little connecter behind and that did a reboot.
