Well I don't mean to defend him, but he was thinking that he could do what he wanted to do, He certainly didn't get out and look around, I think when he was half way into it he realized he didn't do what he should have been. I wish him well.

I don't know. I feel bad for the guy. You can see his stress. Tough situations can sneak up sometimes. Then your brain might start racing. It wasn't a good thing, that's for sure. But we've all made avoidable mistakes. I once got a chip trailer high centered across a two lane road while trying to turn around. And wouldn't you know it, a tour bus full of tourists came along and was blocked. DOT had to bring a backhoe and pull me out. My pride was hurt that day. So I can sort of feel for this guy.

This is prime example of a feeder mill company at its best... And a lack of common sense at its best... For one there had to be at least one sign before the one shown in the video showing the clearance was to low... For two why wouldn't he get out slide the tandems all the way toward the tractor then back up and get as close to the right shoulder up on the side walk that's shown along the brushline and then attempt to make that you turn...In my opinion had he been right up against the brush line he would have been able to make it... Having seen himself tearing stuff up on the truck while trying to make the Uturn should have been enough to stop... Looks to me like a new driver a younger man... No one is perfect, just a learning tool for this driver... Never has happened to me but if it didn't and all other options failed before I would attempt this I would have called the police to get me out of the situation... Good luck to this USA driver hopefully he didn't get the can for this...

One more addition I hope the person filming wasn't in another big truck... Instead of filming why not help? please....

This again? Its only been posted about 4 times now. No the person filming was not in a big truck, yes the person offered to help, yes this driver WAS a rookie, YES he panicked, no he did NOT do the right thing. BTW just for the recorded the correct thing to do in this situation is to STOP, and THINK. Call dispatch, call the police for an escort so you can back up if need be...be cause you HAVE to back out of this situation, and then proceed to do what you have to do which is back up and find another route. I don't know the full story but this is a very good educational tool of what not to do.
