Has anyone had personal experience with DBT in Pa. Either in person or over the internet. They have a nice website but I want to know how good their radios are and the quality of the work they do to them. Thinking about a new Cobra and maybe an amp vs. a Connex or maybe a Galaxy.
Thank you in advance for your time and help.

If you mean DTB Radio (I often confuse the initials, too): Nice guy, I bought a few low current power supplies from him for my service bench. They were in great shape and were described accurately. I mentioned a couple of "problem radios" I had on the bench and he was happy to send along a couple of things to try that had worked for him. I sent him a couple of obsolete parts I had on the shelf for radios he had in exchange (we hams never throw *anything* away) and they seemed to help.
Like I said, nice guy, easy to work with, and open to exchanging ideas. I, for one, appreciate that old-fashioned tech-chat that solves problems for folks.
Hope that helps some.
73Logan76 Thanks this. -
Yes he is good. The tech I use has known him a long time and speaks well of him and his work/knowledge. And, the tech I use is as good as any I've ever seen/used.

Thank you very much for the reference HANDLEBAR and MIKE5511, I am waiting for an email answer from DTB now that I have the letters in the right order, got the first email kicked back.
Mike I suppose you know where Fayettville is. I run to Bright Technology there once a month.
Again thank both for your time and knowledge. -
I took the leap today. Ordered a Cobra 29 classic with all the mods, an Astatic 636L mic, and a Ranger 200. That should get me across the street.
Thanks everyone for the referral and advice. -
I was in and out of Fayetteville twice last week. (WalMart DC) Don't live far from there either.

Mike when you are out and about if you see a big red KW W900 all chromed out pulling a white trailer both say VAN BUFFING COMPOUNDS. Shout out for LUGNUT. Always have it on, sometimes cut way back, but I will come back. Do you drive for Walmart?
