Some help on how the fsc works PLZ!!

You must run the valley.

The amount of the FSC will greatly affect your gross. We currently have a FSC guarantee of $.355 per mile. And on this load we are currently getting $.593 per mile.

There is another thread that explains the formula for figuring how the FSC works. Try doing a search for FSC. That should point you to it.

 

Drop that Pete, and get a working mans truck. pick up a Century or a 660. that mpg savings alone will help you.
As far as surcharge, yes there is a formula, but that depends on whether or not your carrier you are leased on to goes by it, or subs there own. Many different variables there like loaded and empty, just loaded, and if paid by customer. A very tangled web.

 

In general terms, the difference between a classic styled truck and an aero model works out to about 1 mpg. Since your fsc is typically based on a number like 6 mpg, getting anything above that mileage figure winds up cutting your fuel cost down. the better the fuel mileage, the better the money works out on a well designed fsc.

Typically, at todays fuel prices, the price of running the 379 instead of an aero is about 12,000 dolllars a year out of whatever profit you would be making. As fuel goes up in price, the amount of annual savings rises proportionately.
