Just got a call from my wife that after 8 months on the market we finally got an offer on our house. She informed me that yes she took it, and no I couldn't use whatever's left as a down payment on a multi axle. It's scary how she can read my mind.
passingthru69, milskired, Freightlinerbob and 1 other person Thank this. -
Well I made it to the yard about noon Pacific time, unhooked the oversize from Charleston only to be told I was taking a super load to Miami, Florida. So after some negotiating I have a LEGAL load (and only 3k # to boot) to the house and a promise of 5 days off. I finally get to take the oversize sign of the front of the truck for the first time since getting it 3 months and 4 days ago, 37,900 miles since I put the sign on.

Well my LTL wagon full didn't quite scale out how I'd planned, but luckily both eastbound Ohio scales are out of order and no scales in WV and PA. Made it here to the receiver, who said they were going to be waiting for me. Got here and found a note on the door "Landstar Driver: We will be in at 5am to unload you. See you in the morning"
well ill it's almost 2am so I guess I better get a nap in.... Ugh.dannythetrucker and catalinaflyer Thank this. -
I finally got out of McCormick Place this morning. I hear all these newbies griping about paying to park at the Truckstop, how about paying to park at the shipper! $21 to park. It was a little tight going up in there but it was interesting. Now I'm hunting a LTL for the back, heading to Tampa.
milskired Thanks this.
