QUOTE=leftlanetruckin;3458308]Seeing as the eu2000 is a pull start only generator.....no. Unless they make a remote arm that is. :)

I believe One can rent a remote arm at any home depot, they are usually lined up right by the curb

There is one outfit for sure that is modifying EU2000 with electric start and remote. Not sure you would care to have one though as they are charging $2200 for one of them. That is generator with mod. They do not sell the mod alone as they claim this is a difficult install.

As opposed to a Yamaha EF3000iSE/B which has remote start as part of the OEM package for $2220..... only $20 more than an electric/remote EU2000. And a heck of a lot more generator with a lot more features.

Next time a lizard knocks on your door offering everything your wife won't do for $10, hire her to go fill the gas can and start the generator back up.

    Any updates?

I'm getting ready to approach the boss and mention the EU3000i and maybe the Aurora generators.

There was a thread about a HVAC system that mounted behind the sleeper and required a hole to be cut out of the back wall. Does anyone know where that thread is? I would be happy with a smal 1500 watt heater and a portable room AC system.

    Updates on what?
I posted links in the flatbed section, as well as this thread IIRC.
I would never touch a cheap gas generator myself, VERY noisy.
Honda is the way to go for me, and Yamaha according to other respected folks here. I have never had a single issue with the EU3000is myself, so I stick with them.
My portable heater works excellent in the Star, never had it set on high so far and it's been in the 20's. It had a harder time in the Freightliner, but still worked OK.
Portable AC worked too, but was not as efficient as a rooftop by a long shot. Was also no where near as convenient. Uses less gas than the rooftop though, but was also a 8k BTU vs 13,5k BTU

Need anything else about anything I have done myself, feel free to shoot me a PM.

A portable heat/AC. You'd have to run a few ducts but otherwise looks like it would work. If you had to change trucks it would be very easy.

I ran a portable ac unit for a while. But after being used to the rooftop units, I didnt like it. It worked, but was a little inconvenient compared to just reaching up and turning a knob. Had to run the duct out the window etc.

Hi nice treat, but i think if we are taking the time to run portable generators on the truck why not use a split ac/heat pump unit
mounted to the back on the truck they are really energy efficient.
It will provide the best of bout at a reasonable price with minimal cutting for instalation at leas that is the way i am going for.

ps.. they are to many different ones in the market stiles, brands...etc.

this plus a gen-set either a Honda or a diesel one i think is the wining ticket for me.
