Matt, you said in your first post that you have "been" applying at Wal-Mart. Did you apply several times before you redirected your first call?

I only applied twice. First time I didn't have my hazmat come back yet and I entered my app on the last day it was up. Second time I applied, I had my hazmat and applied 5 days after the opening posted.
Joeyd and Buzzard2157 Thank this. -
Well, back to work after my first extended week. I am officially drug out. I have gotten used to the full 2 day off thing. I feel like a slug, as I got next to nothing done at the house.
Sigh.
Ok, I am done complaining now.

Dont feel so bad Rick. At least its only for November. Not like a bottom feeder company where they want you out till you bleed.
Buzzard2157 Thanks this. -
For us, it is until the end of December, according to the newsletter. I guess I will see. I don't feel bad. It will just take some adjusting. If I was still with my X company, I could be looking forward to almost no time off for the next few months. I think I am just getting spoiled. LOL I use my first day off to decompress, and then accomplish a lot on the second. I need to rework that.
I have a great truck this week, but do have to change once. A 2012 with only 130K on it. I think I was so tired last week because my truck was close to "get rid of it" miles, and the seat was pretty worn out.
I'm sitting here having a tire fixed on my trailer.Buzzard2157 Thanks this. -
That very little for a 12'. We have 12's that have close to 200k on them already. The 5/2 5/3 program they are starting has a 08' Pete with a short sleeper with 500k on it, and a 10' Freightliner. Just had 2 Internationals 05', and a 06' that hit that 600k mark and been replaced with new 13' Petes. Too bad I don't have a full time truck to enjoy any of this lol. Our work extensions will be to the end of the month and hopefully not any longer than that. We have a lot of dedicated helping our area out greatly. Ill find out tomorrow what truck I get and for how long on my slip seat week this week. I will also find out if I get this program, which I am certain I will. I just need to decide if it is right for me and my family. I already know what kind of financial shortage in my pay will be.
