You are close enough to your one year experience level to find something better.

From all I've read here you seem like a good driver to me, the type of driver that doesn't mind running and making money. If TA isn't providing you with the opportunity to take care of your bank account then TA gots to go.

I jump through hoops and push myself beyond what I should to come through for this company. Im getting crap miles and crap loads, one after another, when I shouldnt be. I would have left by now if it wasnt for an obnoxious sense of loyalty. I do have other options just waiting for me to pull the trigger. Maybe better, maybe the same. It will be another week and a half before I get to Olathe. I need my mirror fixed, front end fixed, new satellite, and the truck will be at KW for a while because the air leak issues are back with a vengeance. Im afraid to look at tomorrows settlement because it will be a massive negative cause I got crap miles comng off HT. I will barely break even this week because of more crap miles. I unloaded last night and my next load is 55 miles away and picks up TOMORROW night. Its only a 700 mile run finaling Sunday. Im just tired of this crap. Im tired of being a freaking unicorn right now. I know I really just need a break to reset my bran and my outlook, but thngs are piling up too high and Im about to shove it all off a cliff and to heck with the consequences.

Honeybadger, line up your other options, turn in your notice and let them repair the truck on their time....is that a viable option? That way you can at least scrape out a few more miles before you turn in your truck. The damage to your truck was all documented and not your fault and with the schedules that you have been given why should you sit there and have to make a payment on it while it is being repaired. What is your DM saying?

DM is saying we can get me back on track and to have faith. I told her I have absolutely none right now. I dont expect to get cake runs all the time, but I am going on several weeks worth of crap now.

Didn't you hear the same thing a month or so ago the you were ready to turn in the truck? Only you can decide what is right for you and your family...and I don't mean to sway you one way or another. But at this point in your career you have other options available to you if you choose to make a move. Just remember the number one rule ....protect your cdl, you have paid for it in schooling and experience and you have earned it. You do not want a truck abandonment on your record, if you do that then they win. Besides that, honeybadger, you are a professional and you expect more of yourself than that. You are tired, sick and worn down by all of the promises of a better life for you and your family. So, my advice ...if you don't mind me giving it ...is try to rest, take care of yourself while you have some time,( we all know that there are times you all don't get to eat or rest properly), talk it over with your hubby, think things through and make your decision. Then make your plans and follow through ....don't be swayed by any of us or anyone at TA ....do what is right for you.

My opinion is, sometimes you have to cut your losses, and say is this really ever going to get better or not. If there is any hope at all I would take a little break, clear my head, and by all means get the truck fixed. On the other hand Im guessing if you quit either with or without a notice it really don't matter because Trans Am will probably wreck your DAC record. Hang in there, and keep your head up because after all it is your business that you started, and are working hard to make it successful.

    HometimeQueen Thanks this.

I don't know, kirk ....as bad as they can be, I think TransAm is pretty fair about DAC reports. I know that they were with Panhandle and with Husband, and if you read back on this thread there are others that have had no problems with their DAC when they left .....but everyone gave their two week notice and worked it out. The problems with honeybadger's truck aren't on her ....both hits were other driver's that hit her parked truck, that would be documented and shouldn't affect her DAC. I believe that so long as she turns in the truck in a professional manner they will treat her right on her DAC .....that would not be the case for an abandonment.
Pete, how did they treat you when you left?

I stopped caring. I'll just go a couplr grand in the hole and move on. Dont care what husband thinks about it. Dont thin he even cares.

On an unrelated note, Im staring at one of our bobtails that the driver is such a douche that he pulls up pas the fuel pumps to the line, sets thr brake and just went inside with his shower bag. He's BOBTAIL. he can park anywhere. Yet he is in the pay lanes. Lazy ###
