shame on SHC for upsetting the doorslammers. "I want to speak to the manager! There's a flatbed truck sitting up front! He needs to know that's doorslammer turf! I need a place to park I need you to make that flatbed move! No, he is not in a handicap spot, but he shouldn't be parked up front! It's against the rules! I don't know, but it has to be in the DOT regs book somewheres! Well, my trainer told me that flatbeds aren't supposed to be parked up front."

Should have stopped by, I could have used help breaking into the truck parked next to me to shut up their dog!! It was barking and barking and barking. Finally at 3am I banged on the door but nobody answered. So I went inside and had them page for the driver, but no answer. So the manager called the police thinking maybe the guy was dead in his sleeper. Cops opened the truck and there was nobody in it. From the looks of it, the dog had been in there for a few days (poop everywhere and empty food n water bowl) so animal control came to get the dog but a older couple offered to take it with them. They had a big house sleeper and their dog had just passed away 2 weeks ago. Then they towed the truck to the impound yard. Some people make me sick. I hope that who ever did this gets stabbed with an AIDS infested knife in his junk.

    I am at the house.

Was at that truckstop on 75 immediately to the north of the Ringgold scales. Got there by 1600 yesterday. Walked to the restaurant and saw one of our trucks with those big Cat motors that they take to Cat in Griffin, Georgia. This morning at 0600, I leave the truckstop to take my truck to the mechanic's shop (nothing major...just maintenance stuff) and I still see the truck with the engines sitting in the parkinglot.

How do you guys do it? It would severely bother me to sit on a load like that. It would drive me insane. I would have had to be out of there BEFORE Atlanta traffic got heavy. On a Friday?

Maybe the driver was out on his/her 70 and doing a reset, or just tired.

it is a possibility something has happened to the driver, most folks who have pets on the road look after them well, were they trying to contact the company he drove for or was leased to? before you wish such harm on the fellow, he may very well already be dead or someone did something to him?

Actually they got a hold of his company (somewhere in PA) and they said the driver quit on Wednesday and they had no idea where their truck was. He abandoned the truck and the dog. Officer said he got the drivers last know address and he was going to have the day shift supervisor who is also the K9 officer, go make a house call.

Really, If you have a pet you need to take care of them.
They are worse than kids.. The kids grow up and hopefully learn how to take care of themselves. Pets don't really unless let loose and then they turn back to their wild insticts..
Glad you made the call, poor dog

Fairly certain any more that a puppy can look after itself better than most teenagers in this no competition, time out sissy assed society that we have created.

I do believe that I need it get out of this truck, unfortunately the missus has scheduled us to look at 10 houses tomorrow and 14 on Sunday. Oh joy oh joy think I might make some special coffee in the morning.
