60 lbs over gross. OMG they will probably put you in jail for 60 days, I hear that is the formula, one day in jail for ever pound over 80K. I would be far more concerned about axle weights, that is where most drivers get busted. and even the scales all give a margin for error, each state is different. Bump that error margin and they will stop you and weigh your axles individually. Just a little advice, have a great day.

Like I mentioned previously, I was expecting to lose around 200 pounds in fuel before the weigh station. Also, as previously mentioned, all axle weights were well under legal. Steer was 11120 drive 33340 t1 18100 t2 17500.
but, thanks for your "advice" anyways! -
Just wondering, I always thought with spread axles you were allowed to scale more, 18-19 I forget. That would allow you over 80K. Just asking not criticizing.

I pull 10' spread flatbed and we are allowed 20k on each trailer axel. 40k vs a standard tandems 34k but we still have to gross 80k or less. If there was no gross limit, just axel limits, I could weigh 86350 (12350 steer rating).
LaBubba Thanks this. -

They haven't even allocated the monies for the POE yet. Probably be a couple more years til it is built. And at 60# over gross, you will be under by the time you get to the CA line.
