I don't know a whole lot about them but I did run into a guy this morning that works for them. He runs out of Milwaukee WI up to Green Bay every day. Local driver. He said he loves it there. He did mention they were union. Not sure if he meant just that particular terminal he was out of or the whole company.
Anyway, I have to give this guy praise. He did not have to do this but he helped me hook up my hoses, rolled out the air hose for me, helped me hook up everything and then when I was done, he helped me put up my hoses and everything. Super nice guy. I wish more people were like him.HauntedSchizo19 Thanks this. -
Thanks for the info

QC is mostly made up of affiliates (fleet owners who hire their own drivers subject to QC approval), and individual O/O's, though their company drivers are on the increase lately I've heard. Affiliates may or may not be unionized. I did ok for my own part and would consider going back as an O/O if the right opportunity came up.
The affiliate I worked for was sadly mismanaged, wound up losing vital contracts, and to ice the cake, declared bankruptcy following a fatality involving a green oilfield driver in very unfriendly terrain. -
I am 65 and starting over. I have been driving for 10 months. I want to change companies when I have 1 year experience, QC's min. QC is one of the companies I have been considering. I understand there are almost 100 terminals across the country. I have talked with about 10 QC drivers at different tank washes. Only one out 10 were negative. All other drivers were very positive. Many had been there over 10 years. Most were company drivers bringing home over $1000 week consistently. One O/O had been working for 7 years. Truck was paid off, and had a $25000 repair reserve. He was receiving 1.25 to 1.45 per mile, netting $85K/yr.. Some QC shops are union. The union provides better work rules and pay. I am looking at Springfield, MO. I hope this helped. Please let me know what happens. [email protected]

Thanks! And good luck.. Think of this .. To tarp that tank, you go up, kick the lid shut, and lock it down.. All tarped

I almost went with a local QC group in PA. Very nice (recruiter) but the pay wasn't really that much more attractive than what I'm making now.
So I decided to stay where I am (for now) because my tractor is newer (and I know all the issues with her) and I've been here for almost 5 years.
But it's interesting that nobody mentioned anything about being union. (or not. In Eastern PA) -
Most QC terminals are affiliates or franchised with QC. These are independently owned but run under QC authority, safety etc. Pay comes from the terminal and so there are differences in the way they pay. As such all are not equal. I started running chemical tank with the QC terminal #706 in Ft Worth, Tx. owned by the Massey family. Terminal sure is nothing fancy but these people are hands down the best people I have ever worked for in my life. If my circumstances had not changes where I had to relocate I would still be there.

I am an O/O and have been running a pneumatic trailer for 20 months now with QC through a terminal out of New York @ 65% pulling their trailer and my paychecks are spot on every week, fuel taxes and settlements are available any time via a web server, national tire account with in house financing and they will finance large repairs such as engine overhaul, transmission, rear end, etc. The only thing to watch out for is the terminal you are with, some are good and some aren't worth a crap. Orientation is 3 days and you are paid $100 per day + lodging, must be clean shaving no beard or mustache and the whole company runs EOBR's no way around it.
