Had a random drug test taken required by d.o.t.
the possibilities of me failing is high due to taking prescriptions
amoxcillin and ibuprofen for my root canals. Regardless I know that they will contact the dentist to see if I was prescribed these medications. Then the test would be void. But if I was in an unfortunate situation were I was not prescribed medications, and the company got rid of me. Could I still just go get my own truck and broker my own freight. In other words be an owner operator?

Whadda ya mean the test would be "void"? You either pass or fail.
Surely you know amoxillin and ibuprofen are not what they test for. Nobody is that naive.
And no,, you cannot be an O/O if you are on drugs, either.

Not hard to read between the lines on this one...

In fact, a lot of it is IN the lines.

if the medication was prescribed by the dentist. and you have the prescription and your name is on the bottle. plus if you have notified safety about the meds. or you listed in the drug screen paper work that you are taking a perscription drug. then it's not a failure. what is tested for mostly. thc, meth, cocaine, speed, steriods the bad drugs. over the counter stuff, like aspirin, ibuprofen, and stuff like that. is nothing they can do anything about. the worst that can happen to you. is they put on your dac failed to notify the use of perscprition under doctors care. and fire you. and it won't prevent you from being an owner operator.

a key thing to remember is most people on here have no idea what they are talikng about. and they like to dramatize everything they say for the fun of it.

Common sense & reading comprehension equals "dramatizing"? Not even close.
You fail to see clear contradictions in the OP's post.

The OP stated he is likely to fail due to prescription amoxcillin & ibuprofen, strongly inferring his dentist wrote those prescriptions for the root canals.
Then the OP stated he realized that dentist may be contacted to confirm he issued these 2 prescriptions.
So now we can all agree he is taking these 2 legal prescriptions for his root canals.

But THEN the OP states "But if I was in an unfortunate situation were I was not prescribed medications, and the company got rid of me".
You do not see a huge contradiction here? What planet do you hail from?
The OP's story is too contradictory & falsely based to be anywhere near credible.

As for your own comment/post, for you to even bring up "prescription drugs" is a moot issue, because according to the OP the only "drugs" involved are amoxcillin & ibuprofen, and I'm sure you know those are a complete non-issue for any DOT drug test. Prescription amoxcillin & ibuprofen are NON-issues. DOT does not even test for them.
And you think you know what you're talking about? Better think again.
