So i recently purchased a 2006 volvo and it has a factory installed inverter. How does one of these work? Does it drain the batteries?

Of course it does.Probably it's Xantrex3000 inverter/charger,so while you use shore power it will also charge your batteries.
-
Thats a great inverter, but spendy.
-
ok shoot me for being stupid, but where do I plug the shore power too? How long can I run a few appliances on the inverter before my batteries drain?
-
DID YOU GET A MANUAL ON HOW TO USE THE TRANSMISSION? HOW YOU FIXED FOR SOCKS AND UNDERWEAR? JUST JERKING YOUR CHAIN. BATTERY DRAIN WILL BE DEPENDENT UPON THE NUMBER OF AMPS YOU WILL BE PULLING. NEED TO FIND DRAIN OF MICROWAVE, COFFEE POT, TV, ETC THAT YOU WILL BE USING AND JUST COMPUTE DRAW PER HOUR AGAINST CAPACITY. NOT SURE WHERE THAT UNIT PLUGS UP, BUT I' SURE IT WON'T BE LONG BEFORE SOMEONE LETS YOU KNOW.
