I don't know about a specific recruiter, but I would call and follow up as soon as possible. You should be able to get in within a couple weeks as long as no flags pop up on your driving record or employment history. A new class starts every Monday. Best of luck.

If you'd like, I could take a look at one of my referral cards and see if there's a number or something on there.

the recruiter that I worked with was Rob, he was so very helpful, and answered all my questions, those folks were very helpful up there in marshfield.

checked out Roehl for 7 day's straight and found more good than bad about the Company. Put and application in via internet from there web sight. Received an email back same day was told to call them that they are working with my application that was on 7 March. Sent email back to them to let them know that I am currently out to sea and will call as soon as possible. Called today and talked to Rick he told me that everything looked good he just needed a leave and earning statement from me proofing I was in the military. Rick told me once he received tht he would send my app. to get reviewed. How long should it take for me to hear from him again to find out if I got hired on or not? I am new to the trucking bussiness but I think i got what it takes. Any help or advise please let me know. Will be retired in June of this year. Time to get back to the real world.

I stop reading at practice test. If you want to take practice tests for your AP's, then you should go to. They have free tests for you to do. Let me say it one more time. They have FREE........ Just read your state cdl book and then do practice tests or you can pay for them . Now I will go back and finish reading your post.

I first made contact with my recruiter in December, but didn't start until February. This is was due to timing on my/the Navy's part. The day I separated I called Carrie and she had a start date for me. There are four of us on the Honor Program in my class and one guy is on terminal from the Army; was out ten days before starting here. They are pretty good about getting you started as soon as possible. As for the study guide, it can't hurt. I purchased one of the online ones, when I went to take my test I blazed through with no problem. It was helpful because I provided me with the answers to each question AND an explanation. Some of the information on the CDL test is extremely dry and without a previous working knowledge of a tractor-trailer is difficult to understand; I found the study guide invaluable. Everybody also got the same information about the VA too, several months of back up. You'll still get your Roehl salary or $1400ish every two weeks, then once VA kicks in it's on top of that. You don't have to take the salary/VA if you don't want too either. You can just take the free training through the Honor Program and then go mileage pay, but unless you are planning on using your GI Bill for something else, I think this is a better deal in my opinion.

I go to orientation in late April -- still have to pass another medical even though I have the medical card from this past Dec. If I am at this point in their process -- scheduled for orientation and "student" school status (I'm a newbie DCTC Trucking Program), scheduled for medical and info on it's way -- am I in? I know I have to pass the medical and do well in their evo phases and all, but assuming all goes well there, is this it? I'm just worried that I'll go through orientation/evo phases and for some reason they may decide they don't want to hire me. I want to count on this working out. Anyone know? Thanks...
BTW, got my 7/7 schedule!
