yup, he has flat out stated he wouldn't allow it. So unless they can over ride him it won't happen, and last I heard they couldn't

I don't know why everyone is having such a fit over the split speed in ILL. OH is the same way but no one is complaining about it.

Who are folks kidding when they say there would be only a 5 mph difference between trucks and cars?

4 wheelers in IL are about as bad as in CA to run 80 to 90+.

    I disagree...

We drove a dedicated route for over a year that put us though I74 in Ill the entire way heading into Iowa. I did 65 MPH the whole way hammer down on a company truck and never once got pulled or got a ticket. Learned from the truck drivers that in IL most bears wont mess with you if your not going faster than the four wheelers and shooting in and out of lanes passing people and it worked.

Ohio on the hand is the most Nazi state i have seen. They will pull a truck for 56 MPH and I have heard and seen with my own eyes of them pulling truckers out of the sleeper to DOT them as they are parked in the Rest Areas. Tennessee makes a close second with their 55 MPH zones, caught speeding there and you get a $300 "pollution" ticket on top of your speeding ticket.

I run faster in IL then I do in WI. I hit the WI line and I slow down.

Now I don't knwo where you are running that people are not complaining about OH. EVERYONE complains about ohio.

Funny to see this thread divert into weather Ohio or Illiniozz is "better" than the other for us truckers.

Suffice to say, both states suck the big one. They both employ tolls (only on the most common thru interstate routes!!), both have a 55 mph speed limit for big trucks, and they both love to squeeze the truckers lemon untill our money flows down our legs and into their coffers.

Admitadly, I am SEVERLY biased in my coments toward that God forsaken ****hole state of Illiniozz. They have toll roads and artificialy low speed limits for trucks, yet every day of the week I can watch those GD Illinios 4 wheelers race all other traffic from Elgin to the Dells, never leaving the left lane.

I pay big $money$ to drive 55 mph on Illiniozz toll roads, yet those retarded Chicago F.I.B.s can drive as fast as they want up here in Wisconsin, for free.

The speed limit for big trucks will never be increased in Kommie Illiniozz. That decision has been made LONG ago based on revenue $$$$$, and not "safety".
