Sitting in Rochester, load Wednesday headed back out to Seattle. I should buy a house out there.
-
Well hopefully in the morning after we get our permit we will be heading towards Portland, Well really Hillsboro, Or
Going I80 then working our way across 30 and over to I84..
Come to Jublitz and I'll buy the first drink of your choice.. -
I will run out across I94-I90, and will more than likely load out of Seattle area and back across the same way. If I happen to head down that way for some strange reason I will let you know though.

is is there a polite way to say, "if there are guys that'll do it for less: take it off my truck and call them. I'm here; they are not." Certainly not a long term plan to be so direct I don't suppose. I try to be polite to all parties involved in a situation, hard to feel polite when you feel you are being taken advantage of.Logan76 Thanks this.

I think the same thing. I come across as rude and nobody calls me back. LOL I cannot stand it when people say that!!!!

Well I pointed that out. I heard there are other companies that are chomping to get these lds.
I told our agent well send them over. He was real quiet on the phone.
He did make it right the best he could do on this issue. I also sent a nice email to him explaining how these people bill things out, plus a copy of the shipping paper.
He has a super ld. he's working on coming up soon. He would like me to move it and the money is great, but will be time consuming to do.So I'm kinda keeping my mouth quiet, plus my wife keeps saying calm down we will be ok on this issue. She did say the other guys were dumb though. Only in Thai..
I'm just kinda keeping low profile for now as there might be some changes for me after the first of the year.. -
One of my partners in crime works for Sammons. He was in Houston to pick up a load December of last yr. They haggled him down on the tarp pay. He wanted $1600 and they got him down to $500. Well, he was nearly finished tarping the load when he fell. Shattered one of his wrists. Had to repower the load. Didn't even get tarp pay. Sammons pulled some strings and got it okayed to park his rig in one of Daily's secured lots. By the time he got cleared to return to work, he was too far behind with his bank and lost his rig a few months after returning to work. Thankfully, Sammons does have a decent lease purchase deal (cant believe I am saying this) and he landed in one of their trucks.
When my buddy left here, he left because he got tired of competing for freight with the hordes of boneheads they seem to hire now. I warned him that the bonehead problem is now industry wide. Its extremely frustrating. Every time they call me to fix a problem, I remind them why they have so many problems. I have my travel agent say to me all the time, "I have drivers that will tarp for $50-75!" I ask her if she wouldn't mind calling one of them to come tarp the load then. -
Somebody wants me to take my 4 axle off and work for him, You never know..
Cluck Cluck Thanks this. -
Triplesix, If your where I think you are ask her to send you the copy of the tarp charge they bill the customer.
That should really get her going.. Buddy of mine found out on a big ld. they charged 2000.00 but told him it was 200. Customer told him the charge. Talk about back pedaling in the officedannythetrucker Thanks this.
