Not at all sir, I'm no lawyer. Just going on years of arguments with motor carrier management over how deep the shaft goes in a given situation. It's not a hard requirement to hit considering the number of hours we work each week. You are correct as he should collect a minimum of $7.75 hr for each hour he works and he's not getting that.

I've listened to too many carriers over the years....even sipped the koolaid....gotta stop that sheet......s' bad for me.

    chalupa,
I appreciate the "sir" but feel out of place answering to that, as I'm just another trucker grunt in this messed up industry. ;)
It does get confusing, being as one place will tell you something, and another source will say the opposite.
Understandable, no problem, as I wasn't 100% sure myself, but felt pretty close to it, being from the sources I got the info from.

I am in my third week here, I understand orientation wasn't paid that's fine... I did my load securement training which was supposed to pay me $150 which I didn't get Friday :what::banghead: so if I'm understanding correctly I should have my $150 plus the fist week check this coming Friday I hope. When I requested my weekly pay stub from the qualcom I didn't have one so I called payroll and came to find out that even though I have my fuel card and I have been running all week I'm not even on the books :screwy::sly:

Heck, you just started. I has assumed you had been working at $53 a day for at least months.
Be patient... as the confusion and screw-ups with the mega-carriers grows by each passing day. ;)

Yes leave them now. As far as minimum wage goes your pay has to come close to minimum wage. It is like a waitress they can pay them less than minimum wage if they can prove their average tips make up for it.
