I'm bitting the bullet and going to go into hot shot. I have a 2004 f350 with a 34 foot deckover gooseneck. I 've decided to lease with ACME out of there Charleston terminal and im going to run oilfields from Alabama to texas. Does/have anybody ran for ACME and how reliable are they?

I hope you hear from someone, Just remember if this outfit is not very big, you may not get a good response from anyone, I have inquired about several companies that no one knew much about them. (Please read my signature)

^ Seriously, it will destroy you financially. 80% of the hot shots around here are Dodge/Cummins, the rest are GM/Duramax and Ford/7.3 Powerstrokes and a few 7.3 idi. Its rare for me to see a 6.0 or newer ford powerjoke running around doing hotshot work.

ACME has been in the oilfield a long time, over 20 yrs I know. I have never heard anything really bad, alot of that will be the terminal mgr. though. I have friends leased on to them out of Corpus Christi,Tx and they have not drug up in a couple years, so it must be OK for them.
Ditto on the 6.0, lot of money when it breaks down. Good luck

Acme can be as bad as the rest. Well not all the rest. We leased on w/broad who ran FTW TX office when Barnett play 1st started. Was great. Didn't realize she wasn't doing sheet. Just so much business a monkey could have made money. 08' it got real slow and she was never around. Find her at Colonial Golf tournament or some dance hall. She wound up losing her place. Went w/Dallas office for a while. OK. Guy in Weatherford opened office for them. Tried to move over and sheet ace Dallas people would not let us. He was and may still be a hustler who found good freight. Overall they were good folks. But they have some really bad offices as well. It's pretty busy in oil field now so the monkey can get it done.
