That is the regular 18 wheelers that they use in convoys that are armor plated. All of the big military trucks still have the soldiers and Marines driving them. Most of thos would be the old straight 7 ton trucks. They also have a few tractor trailers but not many. Even driving some of the armored troop carriers and the LAV-25s require a CDL.
who will hire me now?

There's an idea.
Those contractors would not be subject to Federal DOT regs.
Afterall, they are in Iraq. He could drive there a year or 2, make some good money. Come home clean, maybe find a job. If not, he would have a wad in the bank
Hell, he's a prime candidate! Needs a job, won't be quiting anytime soon. They'd love to have him.
I been thinking about it myself. The money sounds good, and I could stash a lot of it back. My wife would divorce me before the ink was dry on the contract though LOL -
Hey now they shoot you over there for breaking theyre laws MMMM maybe thats what U R gettin at.

Well, it really seems like you should put a little more effort into what you do. If you are going to continue driving trucks, you should concentrate on safety, all of us have family that travel the same highways as us. As for company info for places that might hire you, I would check with smaller local companies where you live. I don't see any majors hiring you with a record like that..Good luck, and be careful, there are innocent people on the roads

ive been thinking about that more and more as ive been sitting at home. but whats the deal you said they only let contracters. im gonna look into that.

Chief is right...to a point.
Look, I don't care how perfect any of you claim to be...at some point or another, you've broken the rules. We all do. Maybe knowingly, maybe not. Maybe a lot, maybe a little. But there's simply too many rules (many of which contradict each other) out there not to break them at least once in a while.
Now, sometimes, you just have bad luck. The one time you don't catch the speed limit sign fast enough, there's ol' Roscoe P. Coltrane waitin' for ya--that can happen. But the less you break the rules, and the more intelligent you are about it, the less likely you'll be caught.
But when you pile up about one citation a month for a year? That's either the absolute worst luck ever experienced by anyone, or it's the result of a pattern of reckless, inattentive behavior. I'd bet on the latter. If they caught Falcon that many times, I shudder to think what he got away with!
Falcon, please find something else to do. Truckin' just ain't in your future.

well all i need now is 3 months new experience, so im trying to find a local company that will hire me. If i do get hired by a local company, Im not gonna rush back into over the road. Ive found a company that is hiring for temporary work (6 months).im gonna start there.
-
yeah, A friend of mine was supposed to hook me up an interview with a dump truck company his uncle works for.from what i hear there not so anal about having moving violations so.....
but im still waiting for a confirmation.

You should shoot for zero violations and zero accidents, if you have three in the same year, you be lucky to find a driving position with anyone, and could be collective. Two tickets and one accident= 3.
