Well, after reading all the posts on this thread I think I'll add my comment.
Worked for them before they moved to Columbus, forgot the small town's name though; Dave was a dispatcher during that time frame who later bought a truck to run team with one of the office gals; Doug and Marci and Dan were at the helm.
I quit to later re-hire once they moved on Vulcan Road in Columbus... quit again to be re-hired for the last time.
While in Columbus, dispatcher was a black dude named Tony who excelled at his job in spite of typical day to day trucking chaos. Margie was the only staff who re-located to Columbus from that small town that I can't recall at the moment.
Getting off the subject here I think; so, complaints? maintenance? bullying? lies? crooks? equipment? disrespect? threats?... well, I don't have an axe to grind towards Specialized Express although I could dream up a boatload, but it would only be as a result of my personal likes and dislikes as opposed to whether the company sucks or not.
It's likely I'm remembered if they read this... I wish them well.

I will send you a pm for more info about your company.. Thanks, ChrisCabel Thanks this. -
I also worked for Specialized Express, had no problems with them.
Cabel Thanks this. -
well evidently you weren't getting facts right. Dan stayed behind, Dave moved to Columbus. Margie was great. Marcie was good to a point, but when you put in a complaint, nothing was done about it. I did have a lot of sit down time, waiting on loads to be ready for Tyson and a few other places. When you spend all the day waiting for the load to be ready, made to drive all night.
TO me it sounds lie Specialized Express is getting members to come on here or themselves, but the facts that are being put on here. When I worked for this company from both Celenas, and Columbus, I did sit. In Amarillo, Tuscon, Washington, Oregon, and California. I do have my log books. No, not dummies either, a problem Doug had with me, I ran a legal log. I got paid. But not for my sitting time, because it was under a load. I spent three days every time I was in Amarillo. Never did I get sit down, it went as a 34-hour restart.
I read every message put on this link. I let everyone, good or bad talk, JUST put the facts, not make believe, or disgruntled. Truth be told, them putting something on my DAC has made me change course, with divine intervention, I will be making more than I can ever make driving a truck. -

Well I'm going to put this one to rest, I applied on their scronny website application and then the calls started, Marci calling me because she has my application and everything to "Good to go" I wait a while because we were waiting on something else to pop up, Well it didn't pop up so I went to see what Marci had to say, I'd call and left her 5 voice mail messages, By the way there is no email addresses for anyone at this company... Wonder why they don't want to hear about these troubles? or would rather ignore all of the back lash from their treatment from their previous drivers, She would call me back only to reach my VM as I was away from the phone sleeping or whatever else I may have been doing, So I then wait because I had another promising thing happening and nope that didn't happen either so I call her and leave another message, she never responds at this point but I receive in the mail a letter stating that everything is good and she wants to get me scheduled... really? So we have NEVER spoken and she has what I would call an information sheet on me and she is ready to get me scheduled... for what a teeth cleaning a Physical or a bus fare what is she ready to schedule me for? So I'm a bit leary as to what she is up to, so I call her back and forth we go, she calls me and I did a bunch of research and I mean a bunch, I found rip off reports and the whole nine yards on her and her company, I call her again and leave her a message about me not going this route after all of my research, She calls me back talking about us having talked a month ago, now remember it has only been voice mail NOTHING ELSE at this point, So then she calls me and says that if I sm upset about not reaching her and not being able to get through to her that she is a busy person and she recruits for her company because she wants to know who is driving her trucks that she goes down and signs her life away for but that I should call her back, I called her back and got her, she again states that we had talked a months ago and I butted in and said, "No I have never spoke to you before in my life" that "I was not interested in anything she had to offer that I had done a lot of research and that the way she treats drivers is not anything I would be interested in," I then said, "the way Doug or Dan or whatever his name is the way he runs drivers is not going to be my cup of tea." She gets this attitude I can hear her welling up with her broken breathing from way to many smokes in a days time. She says to me "Well then if that is the way it is going to be Then have a good day" I said "you to goodbye!" and this is finished I hope. I was not impressed with her mistaking me for someone who had spoken to her before, I was also not impressed with the " We can get you scheduled" For what? Explain this please and I am a VERY NON SMOKER and requesting that I get a non smoking truck would fall on deaf ears, so this is why I have chose to not go here. Thank You.
beerslave Thanks this. -
she is a heavy smoker, yes. And getting you scheduled would be for a physical, paperwork, and a orientation. But you are better off because of the attitude and stress tehy put on you on top of being away from your family because they CAN NOT FIND a load going that way. for Pete's sake I lived an hour and half from the terminal and got charge fuel because I needed my winter clothes and coat because I had been out west for three weeks and he was sending me to North Carolina, which he could have routed me close to the house to pick up what I needed. I paid the fuel and I ended up getting Pneumonia because the window was broken on the driver side and would not roll all the way up. Who paid those doctor bills, not Specialized Express.
Good luck in finding another job, I could tell you to try out Total Transportation out of Mississippi, or maybe JB Hunt Transportation. JB Hunt may get a lot of bad jokes and representation, but when I worked for them they were great on the home time, but they are hard to get into because they are picky. JUST DO NOT GO WITH SWIFT!, they assigned me a truck that had been wrecked and it didn't get fixed until I took it to the home terminal and told them they could put their family in and pick up the load then I would drive it, I sat for two weeks waiting on parts and couldn't go home, a six hour drive from the terminal. -
no you don't sit what do you call sitting in Amarillo, TX for two days while Tyson has your trailer. I do not know who is paying you off bud, but unfortunately for you, I drove for this company and I am reporting the truth. If that upsets you and your pals at Specialized express then I am sorry, but they continue misleading and mistreating their employees.
