Roehl Driver Check In Continued

When I was a kid I was always amazed at the people wearing shorts in Door County when it was 50 with a stiff breeze blowing in from Lake Michigan.

Actually I'm not much for shorts in any weather. I burn easily and am a mosquito magnet, so shorts rarely happen. I have a permanent burn line on my legs from too many severe sun burns. The most recent was sailing from Charlevoix, MI to Beaver Island in a regatta a few years ago. Took weeks to heal.

 

Left Appleton went to Lanse now iam down to Marshfield. Dropped load of ceiling tiles dunno where to next. Guess ill find out in the AM.

 

In Springfield MA. Went out of route with permission just about 30 miles. Parents live here and tomorrow is my 40th. So I asked if I could come this way to have dinner with family, delivery is tomorrow, only 70 miles away. I offered to stop by my old truck school NETTTS, and show off truck, talk to students etc, to at least give an incentive. Was given the OK, so made Mom happy, to see her son, it's been about 6 months, on almost birthday.

Mine is today, but it's actually my 11th anniversary of my 40th birthday. Still one year (actually 362 days) behind my big brother.

Rest area on I-77 Virginia. 140 miles to cons for 1100 appt, then a pp back to Ohio for Friday.

Gee with all the conversation on here in the last couple days, I'm surprised that no one has mentioned yet that the showers at Gary opened for business on Monday. I inaugurated one on Monday night; nice.

At Ohio Turnpike travel plaza just west of Cleveland; picked up 270 sheets of plate steel there, deliver to Sterling, IL tomorrow pm with a squirt-n-go at Gary in between.
