I have never driven the DD15, but if it's like the 14l S60 before it, 1350 and above seems to make it happy

My 12.7 did it's best power and MPG at 1500rpm. That was 63mph on my cruise and I was able to AVG 7.8mpg for the life of the truck. But it also did not have all that emissions crap.

On a side note, I looked at a 4900SB last week that another LS driver had. Man that thing was nice!!!!

I am also waiting on a quote from LS for the purchase of a 48' Revolution flat with tri-dem axles. Front two will be lifts..... just for s*!ts and giggles

Thanks I'm loading in the morning for CA and will try that. Just don't want to run in the wrong range. Just finishing the fender install this morning then the detail shop in the afternoon. Picked up my IFTA stickers from the state this morning, they ".forgot" to mail them to me last week.

That gear fast run slow philosophy has been taken to some ridiculous extremes by many salesmen. IMO.

    Cluck,

I am going to try and load for Houston or points farther east. So depending on when you get there we may cross paths.

I had a talk with the orifice today about just that same issues not only for the mfg of parts but also the sub-contractors and their crates.
(just hope that you don't get an early morning wake up saying that they have to re-inspect the parts 'cause they may have forgot sumpin)

@ the home terminal... gonna spend a few days rounding up all the loose ends and move that shack with a winder in the back to a different RV park..hopefully will be quieter and a bit cheaper in the long run.
