Walmart here I come!

Matt, I was at Sealy on Wednesday and saw the 3 million mile goal was reached. Right now I have been placed on a medical LOA. My return date is unknown. Let me know when they do the cookout and maybe I can go out to Sealy and enjoy some chicken fajitas! They certainly have some guys who can do magic on the grill in Sealy.

 

Took a little over a month for them to call me after submitting my application. They'll either call you to set up an interview or send you an email saying no thanks, but either way you should hear something soon.

 

Ok so hubs got a call today to come in and sign paperwork at the nearest DC...any ideas what that is? (He has done phone interview, in person interview, drug test, physical, background check, driving test, pretrip test for anyone who hasn't previously read my previous posts)

 

Should be the authorization for the final background check, which should take about 2 weeks, but don't quote me, the process has changed since I went through it 4 months ago, and it could be a different reason. But I can tell you this...it's a good thing either way, they don't have anyone sign papers to turn them down, they'd send an email if that was the case, he's all but in at this point unless something from the past comes back to bite him in the tail. But as long as he disclosed everything then all should be fine. Won't be long now.

 

He has done the final background check.....nervous as all heck! As he is over the road and it takes 2 weeks to get home they are letting him go to the nearest DC....is that odd?

 

Hey Matt, almost 100 pages on your thread here! I looked around and from what I can see, while there ARE a few threads that have over 100 pages, there aren't many, you'll be in a very small group. This thread has provided the most valuable insight, information, guidance, answers and advice about Walmart, no other thread has come close. It's really something when I think about it...I found this when I was still trying to get on with the fleet, many pages ago, and now I'm here helping you help others the way you and others had helped me and answered many of my questions. I'm sure this thread will live on for a long time, it certainly deserves to. Could end up being the longest running thread on this site...

Definitely congratulations Matt its been great reading this thread I am no where near ready for Walmart yet I am happy to learn what goes on there Thank You.
