A mistake is turning right when you should've turned left. You violated somebody's personal property which damages that person for years.

Nope won't hold you back............. You should be able to get hired on anywhere. You would be the perfect candidate for new auto delivery, you have verifiable experience with automobiles.

OP, just apply where ever you can. The worst they can do is tell you "no." You may get lucky and find a company willing to take a chance; you'll never know if you don't give it a try.

    good luck.

I'd say that there isn't many if any OTR carriers that would hire you but that doesn't mean you won't be able to find a job. Garbage trucks, local delivery companies, suppliers, yard work, etc. The felony limits your choices, and your pay, but if you can get on with anyone and prove yourself for a few years, you'll be able to move up to better paying jobs.

Sorry that your poor choices in youth are coming back to bite you now, but that's life. You'll just have to have the mind set that you'll prove yourself and keep your nose clean.

Look around on this site. There are always people saying "Will I be able to get hired with this felony". Most of those threads people post a list of companies that will hire convicted felons. I can't remember all of them. The only 1 I can remember is cypress flat bed but there are about 10. If you do find a company that will hire you it will probably pay next to nothing and you will be gone all the time (creates a new expense when you are hardly making money in the first place). Strictly from a financial standpoint, if you can't even get hired at a mega carrier like swift, schneider, etc you would be better off finding a local non-driving job for a while until your record clears up. Making $9.00 working 40 hours a week is better than making .25 cents a mile and being gone for 4 months at a time financially speaking.
