Volvo D13 Air Compressor

I have a 2008 Volvo 780 D13. Its making a strange like rattling sound while the air compressor is cycling, but once it kicks off the noise stops..Can anyone tell me the cause, and fix..Thank you.

the only way it to remove compressor, disassembly and inspect.... is it Wabco Compressor?

also interested in this thread..my 08' 670 is also making a rattling sound then when the air releases it goes away. OP did you find out what the issue was with your 780?
