I wish I would've stopped then I could've fixed my truck there rather than 8 miles from Perryton on the shoulder.

The heater hoses are a piss poor design they are right against a flange on the turbo. One of them rubbed a hole so I had to pull it off cut it and put it back on. There's no valves coming out of the block so you have to do it hot and be quick so you don't drain the entire block.

Been staying close to home base last 2 weeks with nice $hort loads.

But here's a good news, bad news tale that happened Friday.

Good News - Scored a $$ light load from Memphis back home to Nashville area Friday morning which loads 3 mi. from where I delivered.

Bad News - Forgot to air up my drive bags after unloading and the pot hole in the driveway let axle drop enough to unseat RF bag bead from piston.

Good News - I pull half block up to park where I fold my tarps and see where the air is leaking from the suspension. (see above) So I get on the internet to find a bag so I can change it out and pick up load home. I happen to be parked right next to the Freightliner Memphis parts depo. There's gotta be a hundred air bags right inside!

Bad News - They don't do retail.

Good News - Freightliner dealer is up on Brooks St. 5 or 6 miles away and Firestone bags are on sale for $99.99.

Good News - I plug air line to leaking bag, drive to get loaded, load, drive to Freightliner dealer.

Bad News - But now it's rush hour and I'm now gonna have to put bag on in the dark when I get it.

Good News - Free parking next to F-liner dealer and lots of old concrete slabs so I don't have to lie in the gravel and there's even a few bright lights.

Good News - Nuts come off without a hitch and bag is installed no problemo.

The rest of the news - I am now running out of 14 hours and I am tired and don't feel like filling out a fake page to get me home so I curl up under the blankies with my dogs. So I spend Saturday morning driving home.

Dang it's Sunday already and I'm wasting time on the internet!

Sorry you had that happen, would have lent a hand for sure.
Parked at the jobsite, which is both good and bad.....
Loaded Thursday, and instead of one of our own drivers who hauled blades for ATS being our 3rd truck (ATS wouldnt allow it), we get a company ATS truck.
I touch base with him Wednesday PM, and got told "I loaded there a hundred times", which justmakes me shake my head. Got one of "those" it seems like.
Stretching out Thursday, and the ATS guy says his steer car wont be there until @1pm Friday! Apparently ATS are having a hard time finding steer cars, for probably $1 a mile.... Whatever, I say. It's under 1300 miles down here, so he can leave Friday AM and still be here Sunday night/Monday 1st thing.
I tried calling him Friday night, no answer or reply to the voicemail. Our other truck calls him today, and finds out he is still in Sioux Falls, SD! Really? He is blaming the Ne football game, but he still could have got through there Sunday AM, if not Saturday AM. I would bet he wanted to camp in Sioux Falls for the weekend. We then find out they really want all 3 trucks before unloading, and if he is in SF,SD, there is no chance for tomorrow is there? Now for the fight for detention off the "folks" we get the loads from.
Stopped just East of Amarillo for a shower etc, and our other truck gets pissy and wants to be on site, on a Sunday afternoon, in a field. I know she didn't get a shower yesterday, and thus wont get one today, which in itself is outright nasty in my book, but with the real possibility of us sitting on a string road all day tomorrow too? Barf.
Know I know why I just love my combines....No idiots and smelly old farts to deal with.
At least my brand new steer car is doing a great job, and my rookie front door also did a good job, and non of us stink (I got the front door and his wife a free shower, and my steer had one this morning before leaving).

Well, it turns out I am a dumb###.

Didn't check my CA until this morning and guess what? I am only permited for 12500 on the steers, but the new truck is 14500.

So now I am going to be late delivering and miss my $4 mile reload out for tomorrow afternoon.

    I should be fired!
