Bah Ha a ha!! :biggrin_25517: what the heck? Can you drive a grocery cart at Wal Mart? Or what? I bet not,:biggrin_25513: I can't believe anyone would have let you stay anywhere!!!!:biggrin_25518:

I'm trying to:yes2557: but you keep following me around like a lost Puppy! Don't follow me you may run into a pole!:biggrin_25523::biggrin_25524:

Blairandgretchen You know I'm Joking Right? I see these Thank Yous from you guys and I go into the post and I think "hmmm That was just from the heart, I'm not sure why they are Thanking me but that is cool" I think highly of folks who put others first and you think that way, and that is the way I think.

Now Screams! When you hit the pole did you scream?.... Bah Ha Ha I just had to ask. Thanks.

I noticed you started out saying your company thought you were ready after ONLY 5 days of training. Putting all the responsibility on your company, because they forced you out and you weren't ready. Last I checked you could have put your big boy pants on and SPOKE up telling them YOUR NOT READY. What if you killed a family of five???? You had no business being out there, hitting a power pole is not good. Last I checked there aren't too many of them on the road, or on the shoulder.

I had the same type of accident, I stopped at the Pilot in Stanfield, OR for fuel and still had a couple hours of drive time but I was falling asleep and it was 00:30, went into the overflow parking and found a spot, well I turned a bit too sharp and before I knew it my trailer was busting Miltons hood. The guy was very cool and understanding and was a driver for over 20 years, he spent time calming me down and telling me accidents happen and to most new drivers. Of course I was an emotional stressed wreck since I was really wanting to be one of those drivers who hit over a million accident free miles but I screwed that up right in the beginning. I was very tired that night but that isnt enough exscuse, I have learnt from my mistakes. If I begin to get too tired I call it quits for the night, I would rather take a wider turn if the space is there. I GOAL anytime im in a tight spot, I do admit there are times I dont goal since its an easy back or I have space all around me but if I question it then im getting out.

My company assigned me a close quarter training class which was just a guy taking me out to see how I drive in normal conditions, took a couple safety classes and moved on. I try my hardest to keep clean from then on, I take a lot of precaution, I trip plan the best I can. I Google map every location just so im prepared for whatever docks or obstacles I might face.

There are a lot of drivers out there who will say they have never had any type of accident and some of them are telling the truth while some are just plain lieing.

I also lost 42 lbs in the first 6 months

One week of training ???? It took me that long in the "real world" how to log properly on my own!!!! My first company were crooks, but for me, imho great!!!! Basically I trained for three months (read team driving) with several "trainers". Pay sucked but I learned from all different mentors. On my first month solo, I took out my next door fender mirror off! Since then only deer and squirrels!!!

    Live Long and Prosper!

Believe me, I've considered this. I did tell them my trainer didn't cover everything and could I have time to practice some stuff; was told there wasn't time and I'd be fine. Figured they'd trained more people than I had so I just needed to suck it up. Wish I'd put my foot down.
